KPFZ 88.1FM invites you to a “Tapas Beach Party” on June 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lakeport Yacht Club, 15 Fifth Street. “Tapas” are gourmet Spanish appetizers, prepared by our own Julie Hoskins, host of “The Culinary View. Enjoy tantalizing tapas and other appetizers, a delectable dessert buffet, and a complimentary glass of sangria or other beverage. Entertainment is by C&D Karaoke with Cathy & Dave.

KPFZ’s April 25 Funathon was a rousing success. We achieved our goal of bringing 100 new members into the KPFZ family. We were hoping to do this in 17 hours, but it took an addtional five minutes for the 100th new member to call in. Our heartfelt thanks to all who support our vision of creating a voice for our community via the airwaves.

KPFZ will celebrate its birthday on Saturday, April 25th with a 17-hour on-air “Funathon” (from 7am to midnight). Join us - all day and well into the night — at 88.1 FM. You’ll hear from most of KPFZ’s programmers that day, as well as from many members of the community. You’ll learn more about why this station deserves countywide support. There will be lots of music and talk, all aimed at our goal — to sign up 100 new KPFZ listener-members!

KPFZ’s website is currently undergoing updating and restructuring. Check back regularly for new material. The goal is to make the site an integral part of station operations and the listener experience. This will take time, but will be worth the effort. I will try to do most of the work late at night to minimize disruption.
